Sharp Picture - or not?

"Things to check before returning the camera."

Question from Juan about Sharp Pictures -

I have a Nikon D80 camera and I see that all the pictures I take are good but they are not really clear or sharp enough as the ones I see of other people on their pages.

I would like for you to tell me what I have to do so that my pictures come out so clear and sharp like the professionals.

Thanks for your time.

Answer -

Hello Juan,

Thank you for your enquiry. The Nikon D80 is a good camera and with a quality lens is capable of excellent results.

If you are following the camera's instructions (check out it's "sharpness" settings) and the guidelines in the Photography Techniques section and you still have problems, try using a tripod or resting your camera on a solid surface.

If that doesn't give you better results, there might be something wrong with the camera so I suggest you have it inspected.

All the best,

John
